The Public Health Agency of Canada continues to advise people to avoid non-essential travel outside of Canada. For those who are travelling, the Public Health Agency of Canada advises that you understand the requirements for entry into another country and upon return to Canada.
COVID-19 testing for travel-related purposes is not publicly available in British Columbia.
There are some private pay clinics that offer testing for a fee to people who require asymptomatic testing for reasons that fall outside of BC public health recommendations, such as for travel.
BC’s COVID-19 testing guidelines are focused on targeted case-finding among individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 infection or those who have potentially been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. COVID-19 testing is not recommended for individuals without symptoms.
