The Provincial Health Officer has informed that COVID-19 testing for travel-related purposes is not publicly available in British Columbia.
There are some private pay clinics that offer testing for a fee to people who require asymptomatic testing for reasons that fall outside of BC public health recommendations, such as for travel.
BC’s COVID-19 testing guidelines are focused on targeted case-finding among individuals with symptoms of COVID-19 infection or those who have potentially been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Accordingly, routine screening of people without symptoms for COVID-19 infection for any reason, including for travel, is not performed in BC.
