Family Doctors may now apply for research and/or global health project funding through the Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc).
The Rural Physician Research Support Project enables physicians or new aspiring researchers to pursue innovative rural research projects that contribute to advancing rural health in BC. Eligible physicians can apply for grants of up to $10,000 to support research activities. Applicants must be BC physicians with experience practicing rural medicine and demonstrable extensive connections to rural communities. The research must pertain to health in rural BC.
The Rural Global Health Partnership Initiative offers grants to support partnerships between rural BC physicians or medical trainees committed to rural service, and underserved communities in BC, Canada, and internationally.. Eligible physicians may apply for grant categories up to $5000 and $10,000.
