Villa Cathay Care Home is a 153-bed long term care home currently being supported by six Long Term Care Initiative (LTCI) practitioners. The care home is expanding and is looking for an additional practitioner to assist with the increased resident caseload. Villa Cathay Care Home has a population with a predominantly Chinese ethnic background, with Chinese language skills being essential to this role. Practitioners working in LTCI care homes will work with an interdisciplinary care team: physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, allied health, and the care home leadership team. If you are new to long term care, there is paid mentorship available as well as a strong community of practice to build your skill set and confidence. In addition to fee-for-service payments, practitioners who join the LTCI program also qualify for incentive payments if they meet the best-practice expectations in their care home work.
