Stikine Health Centre – Dease Lake

Clinic Composition
MD's, RN's and lab/X-Ray technician . Each MD has own exam room. 1 large EM resuscitation room, 1 separate isolation negative pressure room. Paramedics on site. Outreach to Iskut (1 day / week) and Telegraph Creek ( 2 days / week with one overnight)

Local Resources
We have a local mental health services team as well as outreach psychiatry. We have in house lab and X-Ray in Dease Lake. PT is generally virtual, otherwise in person PT / OT is accessed in person in Terrace, BC

Emergency Framework
Resuscitation / emergency room is equipped with advanced airway equipment, transport ventilator, defibrillator, AirVo and high quality bedside point of care ultrasound among other emergency equipment.

Visiting Specialist/Consultant Information
We have visiting IM and Psych to each community. Dentist that visits regularly. Our closet referral hospital has support from IM, peds, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, obs/gyn, urology, plastic surgery, otolaryngology, anesthesia and radiology.

Clinic Policy
We do not admit any patients at the Stikine Health Centre. Any patient requiring admission or investigation at higher level of care must be transferred
