Description

This Vancouver clinic is looking to have a Nurse Practitioner join their clinical team. As part of a multi-disciplinary approach to full-service family medicine, an interested NP would work collaboratively in the team environment and start their own patient panel as per Ministry requirements.

This will be a full-time or part-time salaried position. This clinic is excited to add to their team a Nurse Practitioner interested in working together to provide primary care for the surrounding community of patients. This initiative is part of Primary Care Networks (PCNs) evolving in Vancouver. NPs interested in this opportunity should be willing to work collaboratively and participate in PCN development in the community.

Negotiable start date with ongoing needs. Interested candidates should apply to this posting or email the Vancouver Division at recruitment@vancouverdivision.com

CAYA Health Centre, a modern clinic in the Fairview neighborhood, is looking to grow their team. They are a hybrid walk-in/family practice that is supported by clinical counsellors, registered dieticians, pelvic floor physiotherapists, physiotherapists, and massage therapists. This newly built multidisciplinary clinic is located in City Square Mall and has 2 medical exam rooms, 2 physiotherapy rooms, 1 massage therapy room, 2 counselling/dietitian rooms, a spacious shared kitchen space, and a wheelchair-accessible washroom, with 2 physicians working at the clinic. They have a total of 22 practitioners, including medical doctors, psychologists, counsellors, pelvic floor physiotherapists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, dietitians, and acupuncturists.

The clinic conducts appointments both virtually and in person. The clinic is focused on providing care to women, trans, and non-binary individuals. Their services will include primary care for attached patients, and a range of essential services to patients who do not have primary care providers, such as contraception counselling, IUD insertion/removal, pap testing, STI testing, treatment for endometriosis, PCOS and hormone-related issues, mental health, and trans care.

Parking/Bike/Transit Information:

- Easily accessible by the Canada Line and other methods of transit

Other Relevant information: In British Columbia, women are experiencing serious inequities that are impacting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being (BC Women’s Health Foundation, 2019). At CAYA Health Centre, they hope to fill this gap by offering services from medical doctors, nurse practitioners, psychologists, clinical counsellors, dietitians, physiotherapists, and massage therapists all in one place. They believe that this collaborative approach to healthcare will help improve the overall health outcomes of their patients, clients, and community. Their goal is to provide longitudinal primary care and episodic care to historically marginalized populations, including women, trans, and non-binary individuals. Their medical team will provide culturally competent and trauma-informed care, and be able to easily refer to other allied health practitioners as needed. They are extremely clinician-focused, and want their practitioners to have the tools and resources to succeed at their practice. They will provide monthly or quarterly training to their clinicians such as trauma-informed care, gender-affirming care, and more. Their vision is to have a collaborative approach to healthcare, and communication is of the utmost importance.
