Do you want a say in the future of family medicine?  

Join a committee to become part of a community of physician leaders advocating for primary care change. Use your voice to represent your colleagues and improve health care in British Columbia. 

Family doctors are a diverse group, with diverse wants and needs. We need a range of voices from different demographics, geographies and viewpoints to drive primary care change. Help us build an environment where family doctors thrive. We’re looking for members for the following committees: 

Strategic Planning Working Group
The Strategic Planning Working Group will identify priorities and goals and advise the board on the future direction of the organization.Terms are from November to June 2025. Positions open:

• Two members-at-large 

• Two board members

Family Practice Services Committee
FPSC is a joint collaborative committee that works with government, health authorities and family physician organizations to strengthen community longitudinal family practice. It’s a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Doctors of BC. BC Family Doctors nominates three of six Doctors of BC representatives. Terms are 3 years. Positions open:

  • One representative

Representative Assembly
BC Family Doctors sends 33 delegates to the Doctors of BC Representative Assembly.  Our delegates represent the interests of family doctors and discuss issues of importance to the profession. Positions open:
