A programming error affecting family physician visit fees resulted in a larger than usual number of them being temporarily held in Teleplan for claims processed for the August 31, 2022 payment date.
This resulted in a significant reduction in payment for some physicians on the last remittance. Improperly held claims have been re-processed and released by the system on the payment for the September 15, 2022 remittance. We are told that steps have been taken by Teleplan to ensure that similar errors do not occur in the future.
