Digital Solutions for BC Healthcare

Family doctors experience long hours of administrative work. These activities may not be patient-specific but they require a physician’s input. Doctors now have a chance to help inform digital health solutions for physicians and patients in BC.

As part of ongoing advocacy for physician influence on digital health planning, Doctors of BC is developing opportunities for interested physicians to provide their clinical perspectives and help guide work in areas such as:

  • Digital referrals, consults, and orders
  • EMR contract management
  • Virtual visits and remote patient monitoring
  • Secure messaging
  • Patient access to clinical records

It is not required for participants to have prior technical experience or familiarity with existing digital health tools or systems. Physicians’ clinical perspectives are needed from across practice types, geographic locations, and specialties. The goal is to determine whether proposed digital solutions will effectively address the many burdens we know doctors face and improve both quality and delivery of patient care in BC.
