The General Practice Services Committee (FPSC) is looking for a family doctor to join the Doctors of BC physician caucus.
Any member who meets the qualifications is welcome to apply, although preference may be given to applicants located in rural settings within Interior and/or Northern Health regions (as a result of the current composition of the physician caucus).
As a collaborative committee, the FPSC works with government, health authorities, and family physician organizations to strengthen community longitudinal family practice in the province.
This role requires that you are an actively practicing family physician who delivers longitudinal primary care in a community-based practice.
Skill set required:
- Current experience in a BC rural practice environment.
- Experience working with indigenous populations, with preference given to an applicant who identifies as indigenous.
- Significant collaborative, diplomatic, and negotiation skills and experience.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Broad working knowledge of the BC healthcare system, including knowledge of the FPSC and Divisions of Family Practice.
