As family doctors, you see the impact first-hand of long wait times to access consultant specialists on your patients and your practice. Now is your chance to share your experiences and talk about the effects of lengthy wait times in the 2025 Specialist Waitlist Survey.
The survey specifically targets family doctors by seeking your input on:
- How lengthy wait times affect your patient care
- What challenges you face when managing referrals
- What the biggest obstacles are in accessing consultant specialists
The survey is being conducted by Consultant Specialists of BC and Doctors of BC, with the support of BC Family Doctors. Your input will directly inform our joint advocacy on this critical issue. Together, we’re pushing for better waitlist management, improved rural patient access and more support for family doctors dealing with delays.
