Steps to join
Join via Doctors of BC membership → add Sections and Societies: BC Family Doctors. Renew your membership annually before March 31.
- Log in ↗ to Doctors of BC.
- Join or renew Doctors of BC membership ↗ if you have not done so already.
- See BC Family Doctors webpage ↗.
- Go to Sections and Societies ↗.
- Find BC Family Doctors (if you cannot find it: email benefits@doctorsofbc.ca).
- Choose the membership category that applies to you:
- Regular – $475
- First Year in Practice – $238
- Reduced (less than $60,000 income) – $238
- Residents – FREE
- Medical Students – FREE
- Professionally Inactive – FREE
- Retired – FREE
- If none of the membership categories apply to you, please contact us at hello@bcfamilydocs.ca.
- Click: Join Selected Sections and Societies.
- Pay by credit card or direct debit.
Your membership with BC Family Doctors will be active as soon as we receive the activation from Doctors of BC. It can take up to 5 business days.
Free staff membership
Once your account is active you can register one MOA or admin staff for free: form.
Annual renewal
Renew your membership annually from December 15 to March 31 to maintain your membership services and benefits. Follow the above steps. Access to the website will end on March 31 unless you renew.
