We are looking for a Family Physician to cover for the month of August 2026 (earlier start is possible). We are a collegial group of six physicians, an RN, Physio and Social Worker working in the heart of the Kootenays.
Along with our PCN partners, we have a wonderful and supportive administrative staff, including a strong manager who catches us when we are undervaluing our work. Peer support and camaraderie make us a very functional team and is one of the many reasons we continue to enjoy practicing in Castlegar.
A typical work week is four days a week. Those who also work in other disciplines generally work three days in clinic, but we are flexible. Most of us work on the LFP model, so income will correspond to how much you wish to work. Overhead is 25% of billings. If you work a month or more, you will also receive a proportional amount of the panel payment which comes to you separately. Feel free to reach out with any questions you have!

With a vibrant arts and culture town just 40 minutes to the east and our regional medical hospital to the south we are well placed to be inspired both in life and work. Castlegar boasts world-class mountain bike trails, rivers to float and paddleboard right out your back door. Most homes have spaces for gardening and lots of small-town warmth. We have a regional airport (reliable in summer, less so in winter – full disclosure) and we are 3.5 hours from Kelowna with an international airport… but most of the time, you won’t find a need, as family and friends are happy to come here.
