Effective April 1, 2022, the rates for uninsured services are being increased to reflect this year’s 4% increase.

To support you in billing for uninsured services, we have updated our standardized Uninsured Services Invoice with the new rates. This invoice will assist with billing your patients for services not covered by MSP – it is printable and can now be used as a fillable e-form.

You can also download an Uninsured Services Poster for your waiting room or exam room.  Learn more about billing for uninsured services with our Billing Tutorial. All of these resources can be found by clicking here.

Our Simplified Fee Guide has also been updated with non-MSP rates for those times when you provide care to patients not covered by MSP. The Uninsured and Forms section of the Simplified Fee Guide includes a comprehensive listing of the uninsured services fee codes.

For any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to send us a billing question about this or any other inquiries you may have.

We know that administrative burdens are a significant and growing problem for family physicians. That’s why we have highlighted reducing administrative and paperwork requirements on physicians as one of our PMA priorities.

For those forms and certificates that you do need to complete, we recommend appropriately billing for those services that are not covered by MSP.
