Our primary locum need is for coverage of one doctor taking extended medical leave. The remaining six physicians will want coverage for the spring break and summer break periods--March/April and May-August.
Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm. We are completely flexible as to hours and days per week.
We are a well-established community clinic that has been operational for 25 years. All of our doctors have full practices and have been working at our location for at least 10 years. While there are no on call requirements, locum physicians may pursue long term and palliative care only if desired. Our physicians also have the option to offer urgent care services with resources provided in our clinic . Our central West Kelowna location has convenient paramedical support services such as optometrist, physiotherapist, and an after hours urgent care facility nearby.
We have a constant flow of patients seeking care that we cannot accommodate in the appointments available; our clinic turns away between 30-50 patients daily. Other locum physicians that have worked with us have been able to see not only the patients for the doctor he or she is covering, but also same day concern patients of other clinic doctors as the schedule allows.
We support our physicians with well-trained and helpful office staff and a highly experienced clinic manager who oversees the day to day operations. Our group seeks to support one another at work; we are a cohesive group of colleagues that enjoys being a team and are welcoming to those wishing to join us.
