The Salt Spring Island Health Centre is seeking locum physician coverage for flexible, longer-term, multi-physician support within our friendly and collaborative medical community. A flexible start date is available, with multiple coverage opportunities between April and September.
We are a busy family medical practice with eight family physicians, each working 2–3 clinic days per week. We are ideally seeking a locum physician interested in working 4–5 days per week. Scheduling is flexible, and some remote work may be possible.
Located in the heart of the Gulf Islands, Salt Spring Island offers stunning ocean views, a vibrant arts community, renowned farmers’ markets, and exceptional opportunities for hiking and kayaking—all within a scenic ferry ride of Victoria and Vancouver.
Physicians bill under the Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) payment model and contribute a flat-rate overhead of $450 per full or $225 half day, to a maximum of 30%.
Emergency department shifts through Lady Minto Hospital are also available for those interested.
