St. Vincent’s Langara is a 193-bed long term care home currently being supported by five Long Term Care Initiative (LTCI) practitioners. One practitioner is looking for locum cover from March 3, 2025 to May 2, 2025 (dates are flexible). Practitioners must have, or be willing to obtain, PHC privileges and credentials to work at this care home. Locum placements provide flexibility, allow you to diversify your work, and to get a feel for the LTC landscape in Vancouver. Paid orientation is available as well as a strong community of practice to build your skill set and confidence. In addition to LFP or fee-for-service payments, locums who join the LTCI also qualify for incentive payments for attending events, participating in quality improvement projects, and participating in the after-hours care program (if the locum duration is 6 months or longer).
