Locum Family Physician – Home-ViVE Program

Home-Vive Program, a team of physicians and allied health professionals working together to provide 24/7 primary care to frail homebound elders in Vancouver, is looking to grow their team. On average, three to six patients are booked in a half-day session. The patient cohort is spread out geographically across Vancouver, however shifts are mostly pre-booked to minimize travel. This is a fee-for-service practice, but remuneration is comparable to the PMA current sessional rate. Since there is no office space, there is minimal overhead and locums will not be charged a billing split.

Renumeration: $115 per home visit, $20 per phone call

Other relevant information: Within the team-based model of care, a physician would also be expected to answer calls from the care team outside of scheduled ‘shifts.’ Interested candidates will require their own vehicle and cellphone and there is a requirement to join an afterhours call group.
