Hazelton – Wrinch Medical Clinic/Hospital

Rural APP community - salaried with no overhead split or billing required. We add in a REEF bonus, and ultimately the average total for a 2 week locum is somewhere around $29,000. We have accommodations to offer, and travel is reimbursed.

Locums work like we do - with (on average) one ER day shift/week and one ER night shift/week (0800-1800 and 1800-0800). There is a pre-call afternoon off, and an entire post-call day off scheduled in. Otherwise you will work alongside a team of GPs, NPs, and midwives in the primary care clinic attached to the hospital. Returning locums can travel to outlying Indigenous communities to provide care closer to home for patients in the widespread catchment area.

There is back-up with initial buddy shifts as required for the ER, or second-on-call back-up in community, which is great for new grads as a supportive opportunity to transition into rural practice.
