Located just 45 minutes north of Kamloops, Barriere is in a beautiful area to explore. Spend your time off fishing, camping, golfing, whitewater rafting, and cross-country skiing.

$15,000 rural recruitment incentive is available for eligible candidates as well as a relocation amount of $9,000 if moving within BC or $12,000 if moving within Canada. A physician residing and practicing in the community is also eligible for an 11.90% fee premium and $13,698.60 as part of the Rural Retention Program.

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-4:30. There is no after-hours requirement and there is a trauma protocol in place for serious cases to be sent to Kamloops. The team is very collegial and consists of two physicians, three MOAs, and an office manager. The clinic is set up with MedAccess EMR with charts and remote access. The IH Health Centre is next to the clinic with other services.
