A new provincial Enhanced Family Health Program (EFHP) is underway and family doctors are being asked to contribute to its development.

Created by Child Health BC, Perinatal Services BC and health system partners, EFHP is designed to improve equitable access to supports for families during pregnancy and early childhood. Input from family doctors will help inform the EFHP program, including eligibility criteria, referral processes, service delivery models, and health system navigation.

Participation Criteria
To participate, physicians should meet any of the following criteria

  • Attached to families in the Nurse Family Partnership
  • Provide maternity care
  • Have a patient panel that includes children under 6 years of age
  • Practice in Indigenous communities

The project runs from June 2025 to March 2026, with a minimum of 2-4 hours per quarter. Remuneration will be provided. All meeting will be held virtually.
