Building on our successful joint advocacy on sick notes, we are now teaming up once again with the BC College of Family Physicians (BCCFP) to highlight administrative burdens especially how poor EMR integration contribute significantly to workload pressures in family practice.

As primary care reform moves forward, family physicians across BC continue to navigate disconnected digital systems. These systems often require duplicate data entry, multiple logins and manual workarounds that add unnecessary time to administrative tasks. These inefficiencies directly reduces the time we can spend with patients and limits our capacity to provide timely patient care.

This is not just a technical or vendor issue. Reliable, connected digital infrastructure is essential to strengthening patient access and enabling team-based care.

We are calling for coordinated action and investment in integrated systems that work for family physicians, care teams and patients. This is possible if we hear your voice on the matter. Tell us about your EMR experiences here.
