Challenging patient interactions can escalate quickly.

Earlier last year, SWITCH BC’s Community Physician Health and Safety (CPHS) Program, funded by Doctors of BC and funded through the Physician Master Agreement, launched de-escalation tools to support medical office staff in community clinics. The BC Medical Journal now features these valuable resources as a timely reminder of their importance and availability.

We recognize that providing these resources helps us ensure all healthcare professionals can not only deliver quality patient care, but also feel prepared and supported. We encourage all family doctors to access these tools here to navigate difficult interactions with confidence.
