Lower Columbia Community Health Centre

The Lower Columbia Community Health Centre (LCCHC) in Trail is looking for a Family Physician to locum with our dynamic, interprofessional, and community-engaged team. LCCHC is a non-profit, community-governed organization offering team-based primary care. Our team includes 2 Nurse Practitioners, 5 Family Physicians, 2 Social Workers, 2 Registered Nurses (RNs), and 5 Medical Office Assistants (MOAs), and is supported by a leadership team including an Executive Director, Medical Director, and Clinic Manager. We are expanding to include a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), a physiotherapist, and two community outreach workers. Through the Kootenay Boundary Primary Care Network, we also benefit from access to occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, dietetics, and an Aboriginal Health Coordinator. Physicians are supported to work to their full scope, while administrative tasks are minimized to prioritize direct patient care.

LCCHC is a University of British Columbia (UBC) teaching site, with opportunities to precept Family Medicine residents and 3rd-year medical students through the Integrated Clinical Clerkship.
