MATERNITY LEAVE & CLINIC OVERFLOW Locum Position; coverage for Dr. Kamalpreet Gill & physicians at Mitchell Medical Clinic

-start date September 2, 2025; locum can also start sooner in the summer if able to! Proposed end date Nov 28, 2025 however there may be option to continue with part-time locum coverage for the clinic if interested

-at Mitchell Medical Clinic (family medicine practice) in the Laurel Medical Clinic building (888 W. 8th Ave, Vancouver); beautiful office space in Fairview, with your own private office space overlooking the Vancouver downtown skyline and 2 exam rooms per doctor

-Clinic is open Mon to Fri from 8:30-4:30pm, closed for lunch 11:50-1:00pm, closed on weekends; there are 5 physicians in the practice (myself included) and typically 2-3 working physically in the office on any given day

-I have a small patient panel of roughly 300 lovely patients of all ages, doing full scope of family medicine including prenatal care to 20 weeks, newborn/well-child care visits, Pap smears, small office procedures (excisional/punch biopsies), liquid nitrogen treatment. I also assist the other physicians in the clinic by seeing overflow patients from their practices as well to ease their patient load

-looking for at least 2 days a week of coverage (with minimum 1 day a week in office) - locum can have flexible clinic start/stop times; option to even cover up to 5 days/week as there are 4 other family doctors in the clinic and I do overflow coverage for them; in-office days options: Monday and/or Thursday; virtual care option on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (or whichever other day is not booked as an in office day)

-under LFP payment/billing model; 70/30 split; MOA support which takes care of all of the billing

-MedAccess EMR

-3 MOAs working in office daily - excellent MOA support and excellent support from Clinic Manager

-monthly parking in covered parking lot, 2-3 min walk from the clinic (828 W. 8th) - I can cover the cost of the monthly parking for locum

-very supportive, collegial environment in with other family physicians who have been working as a team for many years with dedicated, seasoned MOAs

-online Pomelo booking for patients to book appointments
-option to use AI-assisted dictation software during appointments which can generate full SOAP notes for easy charting!
-1-2 pharm lunches per week
-UBC teaching for medical students available if interested
-no on-call hours
