Come locum for part (or all) of the time between end of October 2025 - February/March 2026 or longer! Ancron Medical Clinic is looking for locum coverage for a portion of a lovely, shared family practice in beautiful Nelson, BC.

A competitive overhead contract will be offered with a % or flat rate, whichever works out to be less. The priority is to have support for my practice partner in caring for our lovely patient population, a nice mix of elderly and young families. We are under the LFP billing model (230$/hour seeing 4 patients + paid for indirect care like charting/checking labs), and as a Rural B community there is a 12% top up to your billings. The overhead split is 80/20. Scheduling can be flexible with as little or as much work as you are up for from clinic based to hospital based medicine. The office is well run, located right on famous Baker Street, around the corner from Oso Negro Café, with fantastic kind staff and fun supportive colleagues in the office and throughout the medical community.

Not to mention that these months are a wonderful time of year to be in Nelson. Beautiful late summer weather, endless hiking, mountain biking, parks, and beaches to explore. The yellow larches come out in all their brilliance in October and November is Burger Month. The alpine and nordic skiing start in December, and the period leading up to the holidays is magically snowy as we and our well-known local ski hill, Whitewater, are located on the Powder Highway. If you haven’t been here, it is a small town with the amenities of a big city, great for outdoor enthusiasts, foodies, music, and coffee lovers alike. You’ll find cute artisan shops, outdoor gear stores, farmer's markets, and so much more!
