Virtual Walk-In Physician
Remote, part-time (British Columbia)

Role Description:
Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of patients across British Columbia? We are seeking BC licensed physicians to deliver virtual walk-in primary care services to patients in BC. This remote position offers flexible hours, minimal commitment, dedicated support resources and a competitive hourly rate.

Timeline:
Onboarding by March 15, 2024
Commencement April 1, 2024

Key Responsibilities:
Perform telehealth consultations by video, phone and secure messaging via our proprietary technology platform.
Provide primary care services, including initial assessment, diagnosis, and recommending next steps for treatment.
Offer expert guidance to patients by explaining diagnoses, discussing treatment options, and advising on preventive health measures.
Prescribe medications as appropriate and coordinate referrals to specialists, diagnostic tests, or additional services.
Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records, documenting patient interactions and treatment plans for seamless continuity of care.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills in virtual interactions, fostering a patient-centered and empathetic approach.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in medical research, technology, and virtual care practices to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:
- Hold or eligible to hold Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP)
- Hold or eligible to hold full license to practice medicine in BC
- Good standing with BC's College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Experience with virtual care is considered an asset
