This job posting is for a permanent position (not locum).
Dogwood Lodge is a 83-bed long term care home currently being supported by four Long Term Care Initiative (LTCI) practitioners. A practitioner has recently left the care home and therefore an additional practitioner is required to assist with the resident caseload. Dogwood Lodge is multicultural and languages spoken by residents are predominantly English and Cantonese. Further information about the care home can be found at their website http://www.vch.ca/Locations-Services/result?res_id=48
Practitioners working in LTCI care homes will work with an interdisciplinary care team: physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, allied health, and the care home leadership team. If you are new to long term care, there is paid mentorship available as well as a strong community of practice to build your skill set and confidence. In addition to fee-for-service payments, practitioners who join the LTCI program also qualify for incentive payments if they meet the best-practice expectations in their care home work.
