ICBC is asking interested physicians to become Advisors for their Clinical Advisory Group.
The Clinical Advisory Group will be comprised of a diverse group of health-care professionals across a number of medical and allied health disciplines. These clinical experts will be engaged on a part-time basis, and their primary responsibility is to provide ICBC with objective, evidence-based, and timely clinical insights when inquiries or challenges arise on customer claims.
Advisors will not conduct any in-person examinations, prescribe treatment, make claims-related decisions or complete any medical-legal work.
ICBC has posted the Request for Expression of Interest on BC Bid. Anyone interested can find out more information about the Clinical Advisory Group [through this link > Browse for Bid Opportunities or Bid Results > Browse opportunities by organization > Insurance Corporation of BC]
If you would like further information on the Clinical Advisory Group, the role of Advisors within claims and the activities that Advisors will complete, please contact Wayne Tang ([email protected]) or Katie Hogg ([email protected]).
